ASTRID_S RELEASES NEW SINGLE “SOMEONE NEW” CO-WRITTEN WITH CHARLI XCX

Today, critically acclaimed international pop star Astrid_S, who recently reached 1 billion global streams, releases her brand new single, “Someone New,” a massive pop anthem co-written with Charli XCX.  “Someone New” is a catchy, melodic track with an energetic bassline paired perfectly with Astrid’s stand-out vocal talent and follows on the heels of “Closer” and “Emotion” (which hit Top 30 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and GQ called one of their favourite songs of 2018) that are building momentum toward the release of her long-awaited debut album.

On the track, Astrid says, “’Someone New’ is a song about being a little obsessed with an ex. I wanted it to sound a bit childish and desperate, but still have a chorus you can sing along to in your car. I made it with Noonie Bao, Charli XCX, Jakob Hazell and Svante Halldin. I’m very excited for people to hear it.”

Surrounding the release of “Someone New,” Astrid_S will be performing two sold-out U.S. shows this month: February 25^th in Los Angeles and February 28^th in NYC.  This follows Astrid’s successful run during the UK and European leg of Years & Years’ Palo Santo world tour, including the O2 Arena in London.
